Oil types in the industrial field obtained by processing crude oil, additives are added by some companies to obtain oil with better properties. The type of oil obtained from the processing of petroleum is called base oil, this oil comes in 2 types: Mineral oils and Synthetic oils.
The properties of synthetic oils are better than mineral oils, but they are more costly in terms of production, causing them to be sold at higher prices than mineral oils. There is no need to mix additives in synthetic oils. The reason for this is that synthetic oils are produced according to the desired properties during production.
In general, the main purpose of oils is to form a thin layer between two metal parts and prevent various mechanical parts damages that may occur during friction.
