Mineral oil is one of the lubricant products obtained by processing crude oil. The processed oil goes through special processes again after the manufacturing process, and base oils to be used in the raw materials of mineral oils are obtained. Mineral oils are obtained as a result of mixing base oils in different forms and different additives according to demand and need. Choosing according to the material to be used is very important in the mixture of mineral oils.

What is the Mission of Mineral Oils?
Even on the surfaces of perfectly manufactured parts, perfect flatness and shine are not achieved. There are recesses and protrusions on the surfaces of the parts that can be seen with a very small microscope. When two parts come into contact with each other, these indentations and protrusions wear by friction. The task of the lubricants is to minimize friction and to form a layer between the parts in contact with each other, to ensure that the two parts move easily in contact.

Where are Mineral Oils Used?

  1. Automotive Oils
Engine oils, gear oils, machine oils, greases etc…
  2. Industrial Oils
Heat treatment oils, metalworking oils, textile processing oils, hydraulic oils, transmission oils, skid oils, rust preventive oils etc…

Main Additives of Mineral Oils:

  • Anti-Corrosion Additives
  • Anti-Oxidation Additives
  • Dipersan Additives
  • Antifoam Additives
  • Rust Preventing Additives
  • Viscosity Enhancer Additives
